WE THE PEOPLE:
An educational series of films exploring the history and evolution of democracy and civil liberties in the U.S. and around the world.
“WE THE PEOPLE” Film Festival
Democracy is not a given. It is a responsibility.
We the People is an urgent and timely film festival dedicated to exploring the history, struggles, and triumphs of democracy and civil liberties in the U.S. and around the world. Through powerful storytelling, speaker panels, and interactive exhibits, we aim to inspire audiences to engage, question, and take action to protect the fundamental rights that shape our society.

“WE THE PEOPLE” Has Never Mattered More
Democracy is a living, breathing force—built on the voices of the people, tested by adversity, and strengthened through collective action. WE THE PEOPLE invites audiences to reflect on the past, challenge the present, and imagine a future where democracy remains resilient in the face of rising threats.
Through a carefully curated selection of films, discussions, and interactive events, the festival explores:
The origins and evolution of democratic movements
Civil rights struggles and victories across generations
Press freedom and the power of storytelling in shaping public opinion
The global fight against authoritarianism and political oppression
Civic engagement and the role of individuals in shaping democracy’s future
